Yes. Solo participation is supported, as well as teams of up to 6 members. Solo participants must complete all submissions independently.
Strongly recommended but not mandatory. Teams with advisors receive bonus points in judging, but teams without advisors can still participate and win awards.
Choose based on your team’s core strengths. AI or computation-focused teams may consider T5 Virtual Cell. Wet-lab teams should choose the T1-T4 track closest to their research direction.
No. T5 is an AI-focused track with relaxed wet-lab requirements. Teams can meet the bronze standard with a high-quality computational model.
Yes, but teams should submit the track-change request before the corresponding proposal or material deadline. A revised AI technical proposal may be required.
No. Bronze can be achieved through solid AI dry-lab work. This is one of the differences from traditional synthetic-biology competitions.
Criterion-based. Any team that meets the corresponding standard can earn the medal, with no quota limit.
Special awards are selected by the judging committee from all participating teams, not only gold-medal teams.
Teams without BSL-1/2 access can choose T5 Virtual Cell or contact partner institutions for lab-resource support. The committee may also provide resource matching.
Submit data-source documentation, usage authorization proof, and a concise model safety risk assessment. Templates will be sent after registration confirmation.
The final package includes model code and training data, project Wiki, judging form, safety form and related deliverables. Please follow the official final-submission deadline shown on the timeline.
Yes. The Wiki should include project overview, background, AI method, experimental results if any, human practices, safety considerations, and team introduction.
